Thatcham full CAT1 or CAT2:1 upgrade

If you have a newish UK spec car or van with a factory fitted category 2 immobiliser than a simple category 2 to 1 alarm upgrade is all you need.

If you have an old or foreign imported car or van then a full category 1 alarm with integrated immobiliser should be installed. Motorcycles, HGVs, motorhomes, plant and agricultural vehicles also require a full category 1 device to be fitted in most circumstances
